Basic Info
Name:Lisa Cuddy
Bio

You think of something to make me miserable, I think of something to make you miserable: it's a game.
And I'm going to win, because I've got a head start. You are already miserable.

BIOGRAPHY
Born into a traditional Jewish family; it has been revealed that both Cuddy's parents are still living, as well as the fact that she has one sister. Her dream of being a doctor started when she was twelve; she attended the University of Michigan as an undergraduate, where she met Gregory House (who had been established as a legend on campus) after he had transferred from Johns Hopkins. They spent an intimate night together where he "gave her everything", though the timing of this has never been specified. Cuddy graduated from medical school second in her glass at age twenty-five, and went on to become the first female and second youngest Dean of Medicine at age thirty-two.

Later, when House got an infarction in his right leg, he was treated at Princeton-Plainsboro (where Cuddy had not yet been promoted to Dean of Medicine). His doctors were unable to diagnose him, so Cuddy became his attending. It was Cuddy who informed Stacy Warner, House's girlfriend at the time, that there was a middle ground between amputation and keeping his leg - but if it failed, he would be crippled for the rest of his life, experiencing constant pain. As House's medical proxy, Stacy consented to the surgery after House elected to be placed in a chemically-induced coma to sleep through the worst of the pain.

Despite Cuddy's frustration with House over his abrasive manner with patients and controversial treatment methods, she defended him frequently against those who questioned her judgment in hiring him. In the first season, when wealthy investor Edward Vogler took control of the board and threatened drastic action unless she fired House, Cuddy defended him, losing the hospital $100 million in investments. She even committed perjury on his behalf, lying under oath in a court room to keep House from losing his medical license and going to jail. Their relationship improved drastically after that point, with House openly flirting with her and seemingly viewing her in a different light than in previous years.

Throughout the second season, Cuddy kept her desire to have a baby a secret, until House figured out she was attempting to conceive. She had previously asked James Wilson on a date as a secret audition to see whether he'd qualify as a good sperm donor. Later, Cuddy admitted to needing injections in order to conceive via in-vitro fertilization, and asked that House be the one to administer them. He agreed, even keeping her injections a secret from Wilson. Ultimately, however, all Cuddy's attempts to conceive failed, one of which was a miscarriage (a secret she only confessed to Wilson). In season five, she planned to adopt, a decision that House did not support. This dream was also ripped away from her when the mother she planned on adopting from chose to keep the baby, leaving Cuddy devastated, and when House consoled her, they shared a passionate kiss. Since then, Cuddy has been coming to terms with her feelings for House.
